Contrada tours was set up by Tim Ault to provide high quality walking tours for Italian visitors to Oxford.

Tim lived in Italy for a number of years in the wonderful city of Siena in Tuscany. While in Italy, Tim learnt Italian, sang with several Italian choirs, and read Dante’s Inferno, the first part of the Commedia.

Tim loves helping Italians to enjoy their time in Oxford, and sharing his interests with them. Tim’s main interests are:

• History, especially the history of Oxford and the british civil wars
• Music, especially classical music. Tim sings with a number of Oxford choirs including Exeter College Choir and the Cathedral Singers of Christ Church.
• Literature including J.R.R.Tolkien, C.S.Lewis, Dante Alighieri and many others
• Tennis; Tim plays both Lawn Tennis at North Oxford lawn tennis club and Real Tennis at the Oxford University Tennis Club.

Tim is involved with the Oxford Padova link, which promotes cultural exchanges with Padova, Oxford’s twin town. Tim has made a number of visits to Padova with groups from Oxford, and has welcomed visitors from Padova to Oxford.
